A PRISONER
You are a prisoner of your own fate
One that you created from your version of twisted hate
You watch from the shadows devoid of love's light
Blinded by your own venom thats robbed you of sight
Your fight against happiness is your only obsession
It seems to be your only joy and your only passion
To seek to destroy what joy others have earned
You cant allow others to have what you yourself yearn
But what is fundamental you must understand
Fate isn't responsible for all what happens, nor God's hand
So don't go blaming others for what your life has become
Life is a learning curve, with many tasks and battles to be won
For as we give, it will all be returned
Sometimes for good and others fingers burned
This is what life is meant to be
It's not meant to be easy nor to be task free
And as you observe from your warped state of mind
You simply have no clue of what others have left behind
You have not an inkling of others lives
And yet you take it upon yourself to hurt with back-stabbing knives
My dear I really pity you
For the meaning of life you have not but a clue
In order to receive you must first give of yourself and share
Trouble with you my dear, its love not hate, you're clearly not aware
And so until you change your ways
A prisoner of the dark you'll stay
There will be no escape for no one has imprisoned you
No one else is responsible, the only one that is, is YOU
