THE COVER OF MY NEW BOOK "DEAR J Poetry from the soul"

This is the final cover of my latest book, due to be released soon

Love has many facets, from great wishing and longing, exhilaration, the passion and the ecstasy, to the despair and heartbreak, anger and betrayal and lastly the hope. In mythology when Pandora opened the box and all pestilence to man escaped ‘Hope’ was left and this I feel is the greatest gift to man. This collection explores all of these emotions and most will resonate with you, the reader. All have been written from the heart, as one would expect for it is the seat of the soul. Some have been channeled and for those that have, they are uplifting, to brighten and give ‘hope’ to the sadness and despair that love can bring.

DEAR “J”

The volumes I write are from the heart
Distance is no object nor being apart
I know I speak from deep within
I know I’m not perfect nor free of sin
But this I know what I say to you
These words are from my soul and all are true
Never have I love one so much
Your soul, my heart has blessed and touched
Perhaps I’ll never understand why
Many years I wrote through the tears I’d cry
But I write with honesty and integrity
How we met must have been planned a serendipity
For although you’ve caused me so much pain
I won’t hold it against you nor to blame
For in doing so my soul has grown in strength
So I guess the reasons well must have been meant
For I am blessed I have felt true love
One so beautiful and given from above
Much more truer and deeper than the physical transient kind
Even though the despair at times nearly lost me my mind
So dear “J” I write to tell you I still love you unconditionally
Constantly unchanged forever and for all eternity

A KISS

So still the silence that flutters by
Softly like the butterfly's wing
A look, a gaze into the deepest darkest sea
Yet shines so bright like the brightest star
Gazed in the heavens from afar
A laughter, a smile dwells there
I look, but a misty veil clouds my gaze
But not of sorrow but of joy
Soft wetness falls on to my breast
Your touch tenderly
Wipes away my tears
And with them all my fears
As your lips caress  and blend with mine
That very first time
We kissed

MY SEARCH IS DONE

MY SEARCH IS DONE

Passion's kiss upon lips sweet
Eyes that melt when gazes meet
Arms that hold in tight embrace
Loves blush upon thine face
Fingers touching feeling bliss
Tongues entwined in a kiss
And when souls blend into one
My soulmate found my search is done

A SLEEPING FAIRY

 A SLEEPING FAIRY

A fleeting glance was all it took
I rubbed my eyes perhaps I mistook
But in the wooded clearing I did spy
A beauteous creature asleep lie
At first I did not want to wake
But her beauty the sight I could not intake
I thought perhaps this is a dream
Through some veiled dream like state seem
So fine and delicate was her face
And on her back folded wings of gossamer lace
Around her shoulders fell hair of gold
I wanted to touch her to be so bold
For just as I reached out to touch her hand
She opened her eyes and caught me with her wand
And now I am trapped in this wood
With arms outstretched I should have understood
To wake a sleeping fairy from her sleep
Was so wrong just for a peep
So here am I forever reaching out I will be
Mesmerised and magicked as a tree

I CAN GO ANYWHERE

I CAN GO ANYWHERE

I can go anywhere
I can be the touch on the breeze
The raindrop on your lashes
The tickle that makes you sneeze
Be anywhere I please

I can go anywhere
I can be the light that shines in your dark
The sun that makes you smile
The wind that blows your clouds away
And make your loving worthwhile

I can go anywhere
That touch on your face
That quiet whisper in your ear
That shiver that gives you goosebumps
Letting you know I am near

I can go anywhere
And dwell in your heart
to take away all your pain
No matter how many miles apart
I am always with you

THE ICE BEAUTY

Share
 THE ICE BEAUTY
To the onlooker she looks so cold
An ice beauty to be so bold
For although her exterior looks like ice
Do not cross her else you'll pay the price
But under her glacier expression belies
A flame that burns under that ice lies
A heart a passion waiting to be released
But dare anyone risk the touch paper light
All for passions to take flight
So the secret lies locked within till released
Waiting for the day it will be unleashed
Till the time when fire and ice collide
When passion takes precedence and in her heart bide
No longer will an ice beauty be
But a smouldering siren set free

A PRISONER

Share
 A PRISONER

You are a prisoner of your own fate
One that you created from your version of twisted hate
You watch from the shadows devoid of love's light
Blinded by your own venom thats robbed you of sight
Your fight against happiness is your only obsession
It seems to be your only joy and your only passion
To seek to destroy what joy others have earned
You cant allow others to have what you yourself yearn
But what is fundamental  you must understand
Fate isn't responsible for all what happens, nor God's hand
So don't go blaming others for what your life has become
Life is a learning curve, with many  tasks and battles to be won
For as we give, it will all be returned
Sometimes for good and others fingers burned
This is what life is meant to be
It's not meant to be easy nor to be task free
And as you observe from your warped state of mind
You simply have no clue of what others have left behind
You have not an inkling of others lives
And yet you take it upon yourself to hurt with back-stabbing knives
My dear I really pity you
For the meaning of life you have not but a clue
In order to receive you must first give of yourself and share
Trouble with you my dear, its love not hate, you're clearly not aware
And so until you change your ways
A prisoner of the dark you'll stay
There will be no escape for no one has imprisoned you
No one else is responsible, the only one that is, is YOU

LEGACY

Share

LEGACY

It doesn't matter what you think, but I do still care
I hope one day of your actions you will be aware
I was always genuine in my feelings, I did not play games
For you I cannot say the same
I always followed my heart true
You knew this many times I told you
I always allowed my spirit its voice
My spirituality is part of me I have no choice
As days go by and time travels on
It's not about fights and who won
I spoke from my soul and did not lie
And would say the same things over as time goes by
But one last thing I will say to you truthfully
I loved you with all my heart and soul unconditionally
This I leave you: my legacy

I'M THINKING OF YOU

Share
I'M THINKING OF YOU

Whilst you sleep I'm thinking of you
I'm wondering to where your dreams take you to
Of whom you meet and where you go
I would surely love to know
I wonder if your dreams are the romantic kind
Or perhaps those bizarre ones suggesting a troubled mind
Or do you have the psychic type
Those suggestive of second sight
Or those where from a height you fall
Would I feature in any dream at all
I wonder as you sleep, I'm thinking of you

REMEMBER ME

Share

REMEMBER ME

I have not forgotten, nor will I
You breezed into my life made me happy made me cry
Its funny how the sadness over time dissipates
And how those few special times memories make
Bittersweet times they were but worth living
For my pleasure was in the giving
I'd had given anything, the world, stars, moon and sun
Gone through a myriad of battles and won
I'd like to think if anything from those times you've grown
I know there is no point dwelling in the past, we've moved on
But you taught me much and my life you enriched more than you know
You reside in my heart in a special place, where you taught love to grow
Your flame of memories will burn eternally
For I gave my love freely and unconditionally
If there is one last thing that I ask: remember me

I KNOW

Share

I KNOW

She has a knowing stare
With a knowing look she flicks her hair
As if to say I can into your life peek
Into your deepest secrets peep
You cannot fool me, I know
I know how you think and where you go
Your eyes may fool many and your lips may lie
But your skeletons show in the depth of your eye
All too often you think you've escaped
You think its cool and proud to hate
Your jealousy and envy have warped your brain
As you wrap yourself in a cloak of disdain
But I know and I'll blow your cover
For when I do you'll never recover

A MERMAID'S WISH

Share

A MERMAID'S WISH

Wistfully prettily gazing at her reflection
Adored by many held in affection
But even though so loved in her kingdom
She ignored the advice of others wisdom
And cast upwards her eyes above the waves
No longer content but the land she craves
And so a mermaid beautiful sings her song
A haunting lament for someone she longs
To dream of one night in humanoid form
And dance dainty steps in his embrace
Slowly a tear falls from her face
And ripples her mirror of water so blue
One day she prays her wish will come true

THE ABYSS

Share

 THE ABYSS

In the darkest corners of my mind there lies the abyss
One slip, one step too far, what blind panic this
Sometimes coming close, it teases
There have been times into which to venture it pleases
A myriad of puzzled and confused thoughts I'd fight
Such a thicket to overcome within this plight
Yet still I know I must challenge on
Intuitively knowing this war I'll overcome

HAUNTING MEMORIES

Share
HAUNTING MEMORIES
In your dreams where do you go?
Do you voyage back to long ago?
Were you happy then or are you today?
Or will you always be this way?
Constantly searching and trying to find
Turning things over and over in your mind
It's clear to me you're searching for something
That certain something that is missing
And yet you know you had it in your hand and let it fall
That special something that filled that hole
And now all you have are your dreams of past
And haunting memories set to last

THE GODDESS

Share
THE GODDESS

She has an air of mystery
With her beauty she enchants
No one can refuse her
Whatever she commands
Where she leads others follow
She only has to snap her fingers
She is mistress of the dance
Although she looks so sweet
Her strength is her vulnerability
But she is anything but weak
If you show her kindness
She'll treat you with respect
But never should you cross her
For she'll never you forget
Many have tried to come close
And all have failed the test
The Goddess knows what she wants
And she only wants the best

IN THE SOUL TO KEEP

Share

IN THE SOUL TO KEEP
If I could turn back time I surely would
Perhaps by doing I'd have understood
I tried to forewarn but you chose not to hear
My beautiful dream became a nightmare of fear
I do not know what goes on inside your mind
I only wished to soothe your troubles and to be kind
Instead you misconstrued all what was said
You let others work their mischief and you were easily led
Although its been a while, don't think I care not
There were too many feelings there to be forgot
Funnily enough time makes no difference
I am still amazed and perplexed by your irreverence
But for all thats gone by when a love is so deep
It's cherished in the heart forever and in the soul to keep

I MISS YOU BABY

Share

I MISS YOU BABY
I miss you Baby
Please don't think all is gone
I always knew it was not done
Please don't fear what I'll say
I always knew love would stay
I've never stopped loving you
Everyday I've thought of you too
Don't try to ever understand
Destiny is managed by a greater hand
It's not for us to fathom why
Any more than to reach and touch the sky
Neither can be achieved
Nor the workings of the Universe perceived
Just know it is so
There is one thing I certainly know
Shshsh don't don't let those lips utter a sound
But a soulmate I have found
I've missed you Baby
